Preggy mom Camille Co on her struggles during her first trimester: “Acne talaga really takes over my emotional health.”
Lifestyle influencer and entrepreneur Camille Co talked about her struggle as a second-time mom in her latest Q&A vlog.
Camille is pregnant with a baby girl with her Finnish husband, Joni Koro. Their first child, Sienna Elea, was born in March 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mommy Camille stated that having acne during her first trimester was mentally challenging.
“I've talked about you, guys, my hormonal acne, I guess that's my only struggle with pregnancy. It's really the acne that came with it during the first trimester.” Mrs. Koro stated.
She added, “I'm generally not as positive during the first trimester really, because of my acne. Acne talaga really takes over my emotional health. Also, 'di ba, during the first trimester that's when you really feel sluggish, you feel very uninspired. You feel very lazy, you're just always in bed. But come second trimester, when my skin is finally 'skinning,' usually that's where I turn really, really positive and happy.”
She recently launched a skin-care brand called CKIN, which, according to her, was inspired by her own challenges with acne.
“I didn't want to contribute anything that is already out there. I didn't want to add to the noise, I wanted to produce something that I myself was looking for. Then it hit me that one of my most personal struggles was with acne.”
