John Feir holds his own in the comic arena as the delightful Belli Flori on Nuts Entertainment: Just 4 Play.
He may not be as famous as Joey de Leon, Janno Gibbs and Anjo Yllana, the Balakubak trio, but when it comes to comedy John Feir a.k.a. Belli Flori can certainly hold his own. Together with Mike ‘Pekto’ Nacua, they give spice to the wacky gang of Nuts Entertainment: Just 4 Play.. John has forever been a funny man; even in real life he admits that comedy has always been his life. “Maski sa totoong buhay talagang komidyante (ako). Oo, maski sa asawa ko, maski sa pamilya namin. Minsan lang ako maging malungkot eh, lagi akong masaya,” describes John about his life. Belli Flori He has cashed in on his talent to make people laugh and has managed to work his way through the showbiz industry. He shares that the Balakubak hosts were the ones who gave him his biggest break on TV. “‘Yung tatlo ‘yung nagbigay sa amin ng break talaga,” shares John. He then launched into the origin of his character, Belli Flori. “Actually disgrasya lang yan e, meron kaming spoof before ‘yung 30 days (naging) 30 gays ‘yan tapos sabi nila kulang tayo, I was then working as an assistant director (sa nuts) tapos sabi nila ‘John mag make up ka’ so ayun nag make up ako. Tapos pagbaba ko nakita ako ni kuya Joey, tapos sabi niya kamukha ako ni Bella Flores. Tapos out of nowhere, bigla na lang lumabas yung pangalan na Belli Flori,” declares John. Nuts and Belli John describes his role in the show aptly as the comic relief in the Balakubak portion. “Kami ni Pekto ‘yung patawa dito. Depende kasi sa situation and sa guest din. Halimbawa meron kaming guest na dancer ‘yung opening namin nagsasayaw kami ni Pekto or halimbawa naman ang guest namin singer, pwede rin kami kumanta, so flexible depende sa gimmick namin” explains John. He says that Joey de Leon heads the group but gives them the freedom to do their thing and make the show as light and funny as possible. “Actually wala naman kaming script na sinusunod, sasabihin lang sa amin ni Kuya Joey na ‘bahala na kayong dalawa sa tanong niyo ha’ ganoon lang. Parang impromptu lang kung ano lang yung ma-isipan namin,” shares John. And with this he has managed to shine and be known as a comedian. He has appeared in various shows in GMA such as Mahiwagang Baul, Super Twins, Mga Mata ni Anghelita among others.
