Benjamin Alves meets Game of Thrones actor Iain Glen

'Game of Thrones' actor Iain Glen joins the cast of historical film Quezon.

Kapuso actor Benjamin Alves continues gearing up for his highly anticipated role in the historical film Quezon.

Since his official announcement to be part of the movie, Benjamin often shared his excitement to play the main character. But his excitement has only grown more after a special encounter with a Hollywood star.

During a recent table reading, Benjamin had the chance to meet Scottish actor Iain Glen, best known for playing Jorah Mormont in Game of Thrones. Iain will portray Leonard Wood, the U.S. Army major who served as Governor-General of the Philippines.

Taking to Instagram, Benjamin shared a selfie with the Hollywood star. He happily captioned, "The Bayaniverse is expanding. Thank goodness Iain Glen was generous with his time, as I bombed our first selfie!"

Fans were thrilled to see the two actors together. Even Benjamin's previous Widow's War co-star, Carla Abellana, expressed her excitement over his fan moment.

Last February, TBA Studios officially announced the production of Quezon, a biographical historical film about Manuel L. Quezon, the second President of the Philippines. The movie will delve into his intense political rivalry with Emilio Aguinaldo during the Commonwealth era.

The film is part of TBA Studios' Bayaniverse, a cinematic universe of Philippine history films, following the success of Heneral Luna and Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral. Acclaimed filmmaker Jerrold Tarog returns to direct, continuing his legacy of bringing historical narratives to life.

Supported by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), Quezon is set to be another groundbreaking addition to Philippine cinema, aiming to captivate audiences both locally and internationally.
