Bianca King: “I embrace this period of my life as it is teaching me once again to slow down and be mindful.”
Former actress Bianca King talked about her shoulder surgery journey on her Instagram account yesterday, July 18.
The former Luna Blanca actress posted her photo where one arm is on a sling and a strip of tape is put to her shoulder.
She wrote in the caption, “I'm gonna be in a sling for a while and you're going to wonder why. So here's the story…
“I'm hypermobile and have shoulder instability. I was and still am an active little kid. I've pushed my body and hurt myself. I was living with pain in my shoulder for a few years and I finally dealt with it,” she added.
Bianca revealed the surgical operations she went through to treat her shoulder.
“I've had arthroscopic shoulder stabilisation and bicep tenodesis to close the gap in my shoulder capsule and hopefully live a painless life,” her post read.
“It's been 2 weeks since surgery and everyday is still a struggle. Learn how to do everything with my left (non dominant hand) and dealing with the pain of my right shoulder and arm.
“I keep getting tempted to move more but I pay for it at night when the pain keeps me up. Sitting is still hard.”
Despite her current situation, Bianca King remains to look at the positive side of life.
“I embrace this period of my life as it teaching me to once again slow down and be mindful,” she shared.
“Physically unable to multitask and rush. And I'm grateful for the pain that has reconnected me to my meditation practice. Putting into some Jon Kabatt Zinn techniques. #mindfulness #mediation #mindfullnessmediation”

The former Atlantika actress replied, “@nicolasixph sort of. Aggravated by pushing my body too hard. Genetically, I'm hypermobile.”
As of this writing, Bianca's revelation post has over 12,900 likes on Instagram.
On July 9, Bianca also posted a beach selfie and briefly mentioned her shoulder surgery.
She wrote, “P.S. If you've been following my stories, you would know that I've just had shoulder surgery.”
“This shot at the beach was taken a few weeks ago. Currently, I have 51 cm incisions all around my right shoulder and look like Frankenstein.”
“So ya, I'm just admiring my shoulder in this photo. Next photos I take, my right shoulder will be full of scars.”
In August 2020, Bianca King moved to Sydney in Australia to be with her husband, Ralph Wintle.
Almost a year later, the two tied the knot on June 5, which was held in their simple yet elegant living room in Sydney.
