Bianca Umali joins fellow World Vision ambassadors Inigo Pascual and Enzo Pineda at the unveiling of Hope Town interactive exhibit at the TriNoma Mall in Quezon City on Monday, January 27.
Hope Town is an experiential booth featuring a day in the life of one of its sponsored children, Nica.
The public gets to witness Nica's story come to life as they enter the booth which is an exact replica of her home and community in North Cebu.
At the end of the walkthrough awaits another exciting experience in a whole new dimension through a VR video with a 360 perspective of Nica's life.
According to Bianca, this exhibit is one way of encouraging people to help children get an opportunity to live a better life.
“Lagi ko pong sinasabi sa mga tao na malapit po talaga sa puso ko ang mga bata.
“Being with World Vision and in simple acts like we have in this one, Hope Town, we're giving hope for children, malaking bagay po 'yon.
“I love serving people especially children,” Bianca told reporters in a short chat before the challenge to invite as many people to the exhibit started.
The former Sahaya actress also stressed the impact of her status as a celebrity to attract more people in joining charitable projects such as Hope Town.
“Malaking bagay po talaga ang mga artista kagaya ko dahil nagagamit po namin yung power na binigay sa amin na makapag-influence ng mga tao--to encourage and to use what we have para tumulong po yung mga tao sa mga taong nangangailangan,” Bianca said.
Hope Town is meant not just to inspire the public, but to spark a fresh desire that will move the public to be engaged in building, restoring, and uplifting the lives of others in need--most especially the children.
Catch the first run of Hope Town at the TriNoma Cinema lobby from January 27 to February 09, 2020.
