Bianca Umali unleashes her inner 'Sang'gre' energy once again as she masters the use of the traditional Filipino weapon, the balisong.
Recently, Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre star Bianca Umali has been busy off-camera studying various forms of Filipino martial arts. Joining her in this training is her real-life partner and fellow series cast member, Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid.
Now, Bianca Umali seems to have leveled up her training as she focuses on mastering self-defense using the traditional weapon, balisong (butterfly knife).
In a post from the Sparkle GMA Artist Center Instagram account, Bianca's disciplined and fierce stance is immediately evident as she trains with the weapon under the Laraw Kali Pamuok (LKP) system.
LKP founder Lakan Ronnie Royce Base is personally assisting and guiding the actress in her mastery of this self-defense discipline.
Under Lakan Ronnie's mentorship, Bianca is honing her skills in blade manipulation and self-defense, ensuring that her 'Sang'gre' movements are backed by authentic martial art.

Supporters of the actress immediately took to social media to share their impressions of her training.
“Bagay na bagay sa'yo maging Sang'gre Terra,” a netizen wrote in the comments.
“Go, girlie!” another one commented.
In 2025, Lakan Ronnie officially announced via Instagram that both Bianca and Ruru were named the LKP Ambassadors for Philippine TV.
