Bianca Umali to Lola Vicky: “I will always come running back to you and your doorstep.”
Sparkle actress Bianca Umali is making sure that she gets to spend some time off before her busy schedule start this month of April.
Aside from taping for the much-awaited telefantasya series Sang'gre: Encantadia Chronicles, Bianca, together with Ruru Madrid, Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, David Licauco, and Barbie Forteza, will be flying to Canada soon for a series of shows directed by Johnny Manahan titled “Sparkle goes to Canada.”
And what better way for her to relax is by bonding with her “superhero” Lola Victorina "Vicky" Umali.
Bianca posted a photo on her Instagram page with her grandmother and wrote in the captions, “No matter how far this life takes me - up, down, good, bad, happy or sad - I will always come running back to you and your doorstep.”
Several celebrities reacted to Bianca's heartwarming message for her Lola Vicky including boyfriend Ruru and Iza Calzado.
In her Kapuso Profiles interview, Bianca talked about how instrumental her lola is in her life, especially since she is the one who took care of her after the death of her parents, May Soler Umali and Jose Vicente Umali.
“She is my superhero, kasi 'yun nga noong ako po ay naulila sa mga magulang, tinanggap niya ako with her arms open, wholeheartedly, inampon niya ako sa kanila nang walang pag-aalinlangan, when I had nothing and nothing at all,” she said.
“As to who and how I am today, this, I believe is all her doing,” she added. “Napalaki niya ako into a strong person and I'm very thankful for that and kung wala siya hindi ko alam kung nasaan ako ngayon."
