Various historical landmarks in San Juan City will be the focus of a new tour to be introduced next year.
The city government has green-lighted a bike trail trip that will take participants on an interactive experience through the city's many historical sites such as the El Deposito Museum, El Deposito Underground Tunnel, Pinaglabanan Shrine, and Museo ng Katipunan.
Other spots in the itinerary are the St. John The Baptist Church and the Santuario del Santo Cristo Church, Greenhills Mall Loop, the Marcos Mansion, and Club Filipino, which played a major role during the 1986 EDSA Revolution.
It was here in San Juan where the revolution led by Andres Bonifacio against the Spaniards first took place.
The city, known then as San Juan del Monte, would host many of the battles against the Spaniards until fighting spread all over the country.
The bike tour was thought of to promote the city's tourism affected by the pandemic while educating the public on San Juan's significance in Philippine history.
