Miss Cavite Billie Hakenson is content with being a runner-up at the recently concluded Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant.
On Instagram, the beauty queen shared a photo of herself with Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo and Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinckx.
“The happiest 4th RU,” she told her followers.
“That's me. I never expected to be a part of the Top 5. And I'm still basking elation [sic] with my achievements.
“Of course, the crown was the goal. But, I achieved more than the actual crown and title. I was heard, and people listened.”
She also dedicated her post to her fellow beauty queens and even vowed to protect this year's winner throughout her journey ahead.
“To @paulineamelinckx, my sentimental Ms. Universe, I love you,” she wrote while addressing Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinckx.
“We've been together since the press presentation and to our 'iyak sayaw' moment during the actual crowning of winners.
“Of course, my heart was broken because I know how amazing you would have been as our queen, but I know you will have your moment. And I will be there to witness that.”
Billie continued, “To our Ms. Universe PH @rabiyamateo, our youngest A&Q sister, I appreciate the talk we had, as well as the sincerity and honesty you showed during the said talk.
“I assure you that your ates (a.k.a. Queen's court) will protect you and help you as best we can throughout your journey.
“You are my Queen. We are your court.”
Before the coronation, Billie caught the attention of pageant fans after she revealed in an interview that she was bisexual.
On Sunday, Iloilo City candidate Rabiya Mateo bagged the Miss Universe Philippines crown.
Following Rabiya are Miss Parañaque as 1st runner-up, Miss Quezon City as 2nd runner-up, Miss Bohol as 3rd runner-up, and Miss Cavite as 4th runner-up.
