The announcement follows Weverse's teaser photos of the groups' silhouettes and the caption: "Making history and heating many global online platforms, the two hottest P-POP groups are finally coming to Weverse!"
Yet many fans were quick to guess that the artists being teased were BINI and SB19 based on the hints.
Weverse is a global platform developed by HYBE that allows K-pop artists to interact directly with their fans. Among the groups currently on the app are BTS, Enhypen, and Seventeen, among others.
Other international stars such as Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion, JVKE, Lauv, HYDE, and AKB48 are also on the platform.
