Angelica aims to succeed current reigning Miss International Andrea Rubio, who bested more than 60 candidates to bring home the crown to Venezuela. The beauty queen was here in the country back in July and gave the current crop of Binibining Pilipinas candidates advice.

“My advice to them is to have fun and do something that they're going to be proud of five years from now. They have to do it with their soul. They have to put their heart and hard work into it. My message would be to compete and compete in a good way,” she said.

The title holder also shared how her life changed after winning the Miss International crown.

“It's been a roller coaster. Because you get one win, and then you lose, and then you get another win. And that's life. It's not just a straight line. It has a line that has long curves,” she shared. “It's about handling those curves the best way you can and trying to remember any single experience that you have because it's a treasure to be here.”
