Which four countries in South East Asia can you travel to without breaking the bank?

Perhaps this is the year to go on a foreign trip, biyaheros! No need to worry about the costs as Biyahe Ni Drew listed a couple of destinations that are apt for the budget-conscious.

1. Hong Kong

This is one of Drew Arellano’s favorite places in the world because it’s a prime shopping destination, no visa is needed, and there’s a plethora of Chinese food to choose from. A great plus is that there are many flights to and from Hong Kong so prices are competitive, therefore affordable.

2. Thailand

Upon the memory of their trip to Phuket, Drew felt his heart racing with the incredible adventure they had. From parasailing, bungee jumping, ziplining and even petting tigers, this Thai province could excite adrenaline junkies. Since a peso and thirty centavos is the exchange rate to Thai baht, you have strong purchasing power.

3. Taiwan

Our nearby neighbor Taiwan should also be considered by thrifty travelers. Be sure to drop by the iconic skyscraper Taipei 101 and go on a tour among all the cute shops and cafes in the small island nation.

4. Malaysia

For Christians, the Biyahe team suggested to fly to Malaysia during Ramadan because food that Muslims can’t eat will come at a cheaper price. Their capital Kuala Lumpur also houses the Petronas Twin Towers which wows tourists and locals alike.

This is the year to go on several adventures, biyahero!
