K-pop girl group BLACKPINK has surpassed 100 million subscribers on YouTube, becoming the first official artist channel on the platform to achieve the milestone.
According to the video-sharing platform and the group's agency YG Entertainment, the channel reached the mark at around 7 p.m. on Friday. The achievement comes roughly nine years and eight months after the group launched its YouTube channel in June 2016. As of writing, the channel hosts 648 videos.
To celebrate the record-setting feat, YouTube presented the group with a custom Red Diamond Creator Award, recognizing their massive global following.
