BLACKPINK, Lisa

BLACKPINK's Lisa performs "New Woman" and "Rockstar" at the VMA's 2024 and takes home the Best K-pop Award.

BLACKPINK member Lisa made BLINKS and Lilies proud as she makes history for being the first and female solo artist to win the MTV Video Music Award's Best K-pop Award twice.

The Thai K-pop idol was the first female and solo artist to win the category in 2022. Currently, she is the only solo female artist to have won the title twice.

TV host Carson Daly presented the award, and in her acceptance speech, Lisa described how important "Rockstar" is.

"Thank you MTV VMA for this award," Lisa said. "Rockstar was a meaningful comeback for me after Lalisa. So, this is very, very special to me. And thank you to RCA family and Team Lloud and blinks and lilies all around the world. Thank you so much for this award."

This year, three K-Pop acts took home trophies. LE SSERAFIM won MTV Push Performance of the Year for "Easy" while SEVENTEEN were the winners of the Best Group award.
