Block B's Zico has made his return with a new summer bop and he's bringing Rain with him.

Zico is back and he's here to express his hate for the summer heat in his lead track with South Korean pop singer Rain.

Titled “Summer Hate,” this headlines the idol's third Extended Play (EP) “Random Box” along with five other songs namely, “Cartoon,” “Love & Hate,” “No You Can't,” “Roommate,” and “Any Song.”

In the music video released Wednesday, July 1, Zico and Rain share their hatred for the heat of the summer and the discomfort it brings to everyone.

The lyrics go, “It's so freaking hot / It makes me sweat / I gotta find a way to hide from the sun real quick / It's packed with people everywhere / The heat of Seoul doesn't seem to cool down / I hate this summer day.”

To promote his new single, Zico went to present the weather forecast early July 1 and introduced the #SummerHateChallenge on national television with the announcer.

This prompted different K-pop idols to take on the challenge including singer Rain and PLEDIS 17's Woozi and Hoshi

As of this writing, Zico's “Summer Hate” has risen to No. 1 on the realtime South Korean charts of Melon, Genie, and Bugs, which has garnered the attention of fans because of the fierce competition.

According to reports, Zico's track was in competition with BLACKPINK's “How You Like That” and Hwasa's “Maria.”
