Bodie Cruz, who once played a baddie on his last project now plays the good guy sa top-rating primetime telefantasya Grazilda.

His role in the Philippine television adaptation of Zorro is the opposite of the role he’s playing this time sa telefantasyang Grazilda. “Good guy [ako dito],” nakangiting sagot ni Bodie Cruz during the pictorial of Grazilda. In this show, Bodie plays the role of Eric’s bestfriend. Bukod sa role niya as a good guy, what else is Bodie excited about? “I’m actually excited to work with the veteran actors, sina Miss Cherie Gil. Sana mabigyan [ako] ng chance to have a scene with them,” Bodie says. Aside from his role and the lessons na matututunan niya from the veteran actors sa show, Bodie is also excited and hopeful na magkaroon sila ng kanyang nakababatang kapatid na si Djanin Cruz ng eksena together. “Yeah, of course! Syempre [excited ako]! By the time siguro she [Djanin’s character Anatalia] crosses over sa real world. That would be nice,” excited na sagot ng binata. Gusto rin kasi makita ni Bodie na maging kontrabida ang kapatid niya who used to play sweet roles, ayon sa kanya. “Before kasi mga sweet sweet roles [iyong pini-play niya]. Sabi ko, ‘Mas bagay kang mag-kontrabida.’ Now we’ll see,” pahayag ng binata. Ikinuwento rin ni Bodie kung paano sila tinutulungan ng kanilang ama on preparing for their roles. As audiences know, Bodie and Djanin are the children of veteran actor Tirso Cruz III. “’Do well lang,’ sabi niya. Pag dumarating naman iyong script namin, he reads it tapos binibigyan niya kami ng kaunting tips,” kuwento ni Bodie. Dagdag pa niya, “‘Wag kabahan. Importante daw iyon. Sabi niya mahirap daw kasi once na may ibinigay na work sa iyo you have to prove yourself para sunud-sunod iyong mga projects.” Medyo pressured nga ang binata dahil na rin ilan sa mga actors sa Grazilda ay kaibigan ng kanyang ama. “Yah, nakaka-pressure. Pero once I do scenes with them, once na nakasama ko sila, they’re really very nice naman kasi we met them way back,” sagot ni Bodie, “Plus, sa mga naka-eksena ko nang veteran actors they even give us tips. Syempre kinakabahan ka. Pero once na pinakita naman nilang okay, medyo at ease ka naman din.” At the end of the interview, Bodie invites everyone na subaybayan ang Grazilda: “I’m inviting everyone to watch Grazilda. Bago ito, bagong concept and hindi lang kayo matutuwa sa mga taong involved, pati sa production, costumes, and sa set – maganda siya.
