 Bohol Cebu

Hotel room for P199? The Balik sa Bohol and I Love Cebu online sale are designed to boost tourism for both provinces.

As the country tries to regain lost ground brought by the year-long (and counting) pandemic, various players in the tourism and hospitality sectors are coming up with clever ways to boost business.

Speaking of which, a group of resorts, hotels, and tour agencies from Bohol and Cebu have come together to participate in a tourism campaign accessible via Traveloco.ph to encourage more people to visit without breaking the bank.

The Balik sa Bohol online sale offers up to 70 percent discount on accommodations and tours until March 31, 2021.

Meanwhile, the I Love Cebu campaign will run from March 21 to April 30, 2021, with more than 60 establishments made up of restaurants, tour operators, resort, and hotels joining the promotion.

All the participating businesses for both promotions have been authorized by the government to operate and accept guests.

The online sale offers various discounts with accommodations starting as low as P199!

Both provinces are hoping to give their tourism a much needed boost to help their economies get back after months of inactivity to quell the spread of COVID-19.

Bohol and Cebu have been very active as of late in promoting their provinces to local tourists, coming up with ways to make it easier for people to enter their borders.

Bohol, for example, has announced that it will be accepting saliva test results for those who are planning to visit the province. Saliva test is considered much cheaper, less painful, and less invasive as compared to nasal swab test.

Other than that, visitors are required to show proof of confirmed booking to their accommodation of choice, and Bohol Tour QR Code.

Cebu, contrary to earlier reports announced by Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, still requires visitors to present negative results through swab tests to safeguard public health.

But the province--dubbed as the Queen City of the South--has been in the spotlight as it is in the center of the 500th anniversary of the arrival of foreign explorers Ferdinand Magellan and Sebastian Elcano on Philippines soil.

Visitors, however, are still advised to check thoroughly with Bohol and Cebu authorities to know the imposed guidelines and health protocols to avoid disappointment.
