Born to Shine cast

The second volume of 'Born to Shine's' original soundtrack is out now!

After the success of their first album, GMA Network's Afternoon Prime musical drama series Born to Shine launched the second volume, full of the freshest songs the show has to offer.

To celebrate the release, the cast of the show performed their newest songs at the Mall Show and Album Launch held at the SM Center Muntinlupa last Saturday, July 18.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Zephanie, Olive May, and Michael Sager expressed how happy they are to have and be part of the show's second album.

“Sobra pong grateful lang talaga kami na pinagkakatiwalaan kami ng buong prod ng Born to Shine na mag-volume 2 ng album,” Zephanie said.

“Sobra lang kami na-inspire talaga,” the singer-actress added.

Olive admitted that having a mall show and album launch felt nostalgic for her since she already experienced it before with her former P-Pop group Calista.

“Sobrang happy kasi I get to experience this with YUMI and exciting kasi ang gaganda ng songs! Sobrang gaganda po,” the singer actress said.

Olive also thanked GMA for the opportunity to sing their original songs both on the show and during events.

Michael, meanwhile, felt that time flew by too fast when only recently they launched their first album.

“I'm just so happy that really, the show is progressing and the story is unfolding even more better chapters,” the actor said.

The fictional P-Pop girl group YUMI, composed of Zephanie, Olive May, Naya Ambi, Miti Josh, and Gaea Mischa, performed their second single “Ikaw ang Dahilan.”

Michael Sager serenaded the audience and made them feel kilig with the song “Paano Ba Sasabihin,” the same song his character, Nate, wrote for Jeni, Zephanie's character.

Meanwhile, Vina Morales, who was also in the first album, did a solo version of the Rosabellas song “Song of our Hearts.” She also sang a version of the song with her former groupmates from the show, Manilyn Reynes and Tina Paner. Both versions are also included in the album.

Aside from the live performances, “Darling,” the newest song of YUMI's rival P-Pop group NIXI, composed of Chloe Redondo, Angelika Santiago, and Aaliyah de Gracia, was heard.

Fans were also treated to the amazing solo performances of Naya, Miggs Cuaderno, and Kobie Brown. The mall show was made livelier and made the audience more kilig when Smokey Manaloto, Ralph Miaco, AJ Oteyza, and Dang Cruz stepped on the stage.

Volume 2 of the Born to Shine original soundtrack is now available on all major streaming platforms.
