The King of Talk Boy Abunda said that despite not meeting with his friend and former co-host Kris Aquino, their friendship is still going strong.

In an interview with Jessica Soho on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho on December 18, the veteran host said that he and Kris did not have a falling out before, and still remained friends.

“The friendship is not perfect. Wala kaming problema ni Kris na hindi namin napag-usapan and I am referring to things that are personal, things that are political, things that are professional,” he said.

He added that it will be hard to break their friendship despite their lack of presence in each other's lives.

“May mga pagiging magkaibigan tulad natin, hindi tayo nagkita ng ilang taon, pero pag nagkita tayo, magkaibigan tayo e. To me, that is the best kinds of friendships. The connection is there,” he said, referring to Jessica.

He admits though that since Kris flew to the US for her treatments, he hasn't talked to her yet. He also said that while they don't see each other personally, nothing has changed between them.

In April of this year, Kris revealed that she will be going to the US to seek medical treatment after she was diagnosed with erosive gastritis and gastric ulcer apart from her autoimmune condition.

Recently, Kris gave an update on her condition and said that she will have a full diagnosis and treatment done after her last test gave conflicting results as to her condition.

Boy, on the other hand, expressed how flattered he is by the moniker “King of Talk” given to him, saying that since Kris is known as the “Queen of all Media,” he has limitations on what he can do compared to her.

The veteran host will be sharing his skills as a presenter, talk show host, and interviewer with GMA when he signed a contract with the network on December 15, during his welcome party.
