On May 17, 2020, American pop star Britney Spears couldn't believe that it has already been 20 years since the release of her iconic sophomore album, “Oops!...I Did It Again.”
That's why on Instagram, she shared a nostalgic video footage of herself back in the 2000s.
She wrote, “Thank you to whoever made this… I just nearly dropped my phone I wasn't expecting it!!! 20 years since the 'Oops!' album… the anticipation and the butterflies.
“I felt before it came out were crazy… all of my expectations were exceeded! And it's all thanks to you folks. Thank you for sticking with me and growing with me. I am one lucky girl.
“God bless and thank you all. P.S. You see even 20 years ago I still liked to twirl.”
The Instagram montage features a glimpse of the "Oops!... I Did It Again" music video, which features Britney in the iconic red latex jumpsuit.
However, what isn't included in the video is when she pretended to perform on Mars and even met a hunky astronaut who gave a gift to her.
Because of that, she tweeted the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) about her past galactic adventure.
She said, “Hey @NASA… I received your gift. I know it's been 20 years since we met on Mars… and I just want to say… 'aww you shouldn't have!!! Have fun up there @NASA Persevere!!!”

NASA replied flirtatiously, “Well, hello there, @britneyspears. Yes! I'm packed and almost ready to fly in July landing on Mars next February. I'll collect rocks for a future mission to send back, but know I went down and got them for you.”
And then adding, “It might seem like a crush” ---- both in reference to a line from the hit song.

In an earlier post, Britney revealed something about the red latex jumpsuit to mark the anniversary of the release of the song “Oops!... I Did It Again.”
She said, “'Oops!…' How did 20 years go by so fast ?!??! I can't believe it.
"I remember that red suit was so freaking hot... But the dance was fun and it made the shoot fly by!
“And now we're sitting in quarantine wishing we were on Mars...of course, I am just kidding! But seriously you have all shown so much support for this song and I thank you for it...sending love to you all!”
According to Billboard, the 2000 hit song held the record for the most album sales in a week by a female artist for 15 years, with more than 1.3 million copies sold.
Britney first visited Manila on June 15, 2017, as part of her Asian Tour.
