BTS on Jimmy Fallon

K-pop boy group BTS also sat down with Jimmy Fallon to talk about their upcoming album and what they were like in high school.

K-pop boy group BTS continues their week-long special with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon by sitting down with the host to talk about performing at the Grammys, their single “Dynamite,” and their upcoming album “BE.”

According to the group, it still felt surreal performing “Old Town Road” at the 2020 Grammy stage with Lil Nas X and Mason Ramsey last January.

“The Grammys is definitely the most honorable music award that evaluates the prominence and the musical odyssey of an artist. So we all grew up watching the Grammy Awards… we just watched all of it,” RM said.

He added that if the time comes and they win the prestigious award it would mean so much to them and their fans.

“So, doing a BTS solo performance with our own song and winning the Grammys are kind of like our ultimate goal and also a dream that has naturally grown inside of us,” the BTS leader said.

“Winning a Grammy in uncertain times could give greater hope and dreams to a lot of people, especially to our ARMY and Jimmy [Fallon].”

The septet also revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic restrained them for a time from releasing new material.

“People around the world have been going through a difficult time because of the pandemic. We also felt discouraged by the situation,” J-hope confessed.

“So, we took on a new challenge which was 'Dynamite.' This project was not only for us but also for our fans whom we wanted to energize and give joy to during this difficult period.”

Jimmy then enumerated the group's success in under a year and asked what advice they could give to budding artists who'd want to be like BTS someday.

Jin said, “I was fortunate to have good people around me. I advise you to meet good people.”

This wouldn't be a Fallon special without some games and a stunning performance from the special guests of the night.

For this particular episode, Jimmy and BTS face off against one another to see who can best express random feelings through dance.

They also performed “Black Swan” from their 2020 EP 'Map of the Soul: 7.'
