
BTS, along with Ed Sheeran, have won big at the recently concluded MTV European Music Awards held at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna in Hungary.
Ed Sheeran's song “Bad Habits” was named Best Song while Ed himself was named Best Artist. Meanwhile, BTS brought home the most awards, taking Best Pop, Best Group, Best K-Pop, and Biggest Fans.
Aside from the two artists, other musicians recognized at the award show include 2021 Eurovision Song Contest winner Måneskin, who won Best Rock; Saweetie, who won Best New; Nicki Minaj, who won Best Hip-Hop; and Colombian singer Maluma, who won Best Latin.
The award show also honored acts from different regions in the world, with Taylor Swift winning Best US Act.
Ed Sheeran was also a performer during the show, performing “Overpass Graffiti” and “Shivers.” Another standout was Kim Petras, who performed a medley of two unreleased songs, “Coconuts,” and “Hit It From The Back.” Petras is the first trans artist to perform on the show.
