BTS Jungkook

BTS Jungkook recently had an emotional birthday celebration.

South Korean supergroup BTS member Jungkook made his special day even more memorable with a birthday livestream.

The K-pop idol held a Weverse Live on Tuesday, September 2, ahead of the group's first day of the “Arirang” concert in Los Angeles, California, to celebrate his 29th birthday.

During the livestream, he expressed his gratitude, talked about reigniting his passion for filming, and shared his love for his family and fans.

At the beginning of the livestream, he thanked ARMYs for their well-wishes and promised to share more of his daily life on social media.

He also revealed that he would explore his hobby and passion for filming videos further. He noted that he is ready to try new things, including discovering different kinds of films and music.

Lighting up the mood, he performed his own renditions of Richard Marx's “Now and Forever” and Justin Bieber's “Lifetime.”

Meanwhile, ARMYs were especially touched when he took the time to give a heartfelt message to his parents on his special day.

“Thank you for bringing me into this world. Thanks to you, I'm able to live such a happy life," he said.

Admitting that he feels shy about expressing his emotions directly and does not contact them often, Jungkook still took the opportunity to tell his parents, “I love you,” during the livestream.

"Anyway, even though I'm not very good at contacting you regularly, I really hope you know that I truly cherish you and the family," he said.

“Let's go on a trip together," he concluded.

Jungkook also celebrated his birthday with a cake-cutting moment alongside fellow BTS members V and J-Hope.

BTS are currently on their “Arirang” world tour, which began in April 2026 and includes stops across Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.

This marks the group's comeback with their latest album, Arirang, which was released on March 20 following the members' completion of their mandatory military service.
