BTS greet their fans via video call for James Corden's 'Homefest' special

Straight from the BigHit Entertainment training room in South Korea, K-pop boy group BTS joined The Late Late Show's Homefest special and performed their hit song “Boy With Luv” late Monday evening, March 30.

The performance followed after the appearances of other A-list celebrities like John Legend, Will Ferrell, Andrea Bocelli, Dua Lipa, and David Blane to raise funds for Feed The Children and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Foundation.

After greeting the host, the seven boys shared an update about the effects of the coronavirus disease in Korea and also gave their message of goodwill to the audience.

RM started the conversation, “I think it's quite a difficult time for everyone in the world right now. But, we see people showing solidarity, consideration, and support for each other.”

“ARMY, are you doing well? We miss you and I hope to see you all soon,” exclaims V.

“During a time when social distancing is crucial, we're so grateful we can connect with you from here. It may seem like we're isolated, but we're still connected through our shared experiences, our courage, and our laughter,” RM adds.

Fans of the boy group couldn't help but share their delight to see the septet perform while some couldn't help but notice V dancing effortlessly in slippers.

BTS recently announced that they will cancel its concerts in Korea due to the rising number of cases of coronavirus patients.

Furthermore, they are closely monitoring the situation in other tour stops like the United States, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Spain.

According to BigHit, they are making efforts to have these performances push through although cancellations or rescheduling are to be expected.

It said, “Any cancellations or rescheduling will be based on a policy of full cooperation with the guidance and directives of national and local governments and concert venues to ensure the health and safety of everyone. We are making every effort to proceed with the planned performances where possible, however, details on any changes will be provided separately for each region.

"We are also developing plans to secure dates and venues to hold BTS's “Map of the Soul” tour in Seoul when the situation stabilizes. We ask for your understanding as we continue to strive to deliver a new and better-than-ever experience for the “Map of the Soul” tour to all of our fans who have undoubtedly been disappointed by recent cancellations.

"We will continue to place the highest priority on the health and safety of our artists and fans and do our utmost to keep the promises we made to our fans. Once again, we ask for your generous understanding and support from all of our fans looking forward to BTS's 'Map of the Soul' tour.”
