The online concert showcased several performances from the group dating from the pre-pandemic era, allowing millions of fans to enjoy music from K-Pop superstars RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook inside the comfort and safety of their homes.
According to their agency, Big Hit Music, this is the largest number of users who simultaneously watched since “Bang Bang Con” was first launched in April of last year.

“As BTS faced the 'untact (non-face-to-face) era' due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they led a new performance culture with an online streaming festival,” their agency stated.
BTS held the first 'Bang Bang Con' last year after being forced to cancel the world tour for their album 'Map of the Soul' due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since then, BTS has largely remained active through various social media platforms, their latest album release 'Be,' their Grammy Awards performance and nomination for Best Group Performance last March, and more.
The online concert kicked off with a short clip from the group reminding the audience of concert etiquette, while playfully joking that they can enjoy their own food and drink within the 'performance hall' this time around.
The eight-hour long concert left many fans nostalgic as they were able to revisit past performances from the group, bringing most to an emotional high as they saw how much BTS has grown over the years.

Bang Bang Con 2021 featured footages from the group's earliest live performances, "BTS Live Trilogy: Episode I. BTS Begins” concert in Seoul, 5th “Muster” fan meeting in Busan (“Magic Shop”), and “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The event, which was free to stream online, trended worldwide on Twitter with over 3 million tweets (#BANGBANGCON21), 50 worldwide trends and ended with 22,248,241 views from ARMYs who joined the concert virtually.

In true BTS fashion, they capped off the night with a special thanks to ARMY, their 'biggest voice.'
BTS has never strayed away from showing their love and affection to ARMY. The group has often interacted with fans through photos and updates with the platforms like Naver VLive and WeVerse and has thanked their fans on numerous occasions for their huge success since their debut back in 2013.
Despite the heavy and rather difficult 2020, BTS has gone on to prove how there's no holding them back from reaching even greater heights. See more of their achievements with this On The Spot video featuring BTS:
