J-hope of BTS

Here's some exciting (and hopeful) news for ARMYs!

The first solo documentary of J-hope from the Korean supergroup BTS is set to be released next month.

According to BTS's official Twitter account, the documentary special, j-hope IN THE BOX, will be available for streaming globally on February 17 at 5 p.m. KST (4 p.m. in Manila) on both Disney+ and Weverse.

The title of the documentary is a nod to the rapper-producer's chart-topping first album, Jack In The Box, released last year.

Disney+ also announced the news on their official Twitter account, "He's your hope. You're his hope. He is… #jhope,” it said.

A report by Soompi said the documentary will show glimpses of J-hope's journey while producing his first solo album, as well as his epic listening party that was attended by some of South Korea's brightest stars.

The documentary will likewise show the behind-the-scenes of J-hope's performance at Lollapalooza, which he headlined last year.

Meanwhile, Disney+ teased late last year the upcoming docu-series of BTS, BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, which will be streamed on the platform, as well.

“Chart the incredible journey of pop icons BTS in the new docu-series BTS MONUMENTS: BEYOND THE STAR, an exclusive #DisneyPlusPH series coming soon,” Disney+ said in a tweet last November.

BTS's concert film, Permission to Dance On Stage - LA, has also been available for streaming on Disney+ since September 2022.

As a group, BTS has screened several documentaries and docu-series including, Burn the Stage: The Movie (2018), Bring the Soul: The Movie (2019), and Break the Silence: The Movie Persona (2020).
