
Jungkook of the global group BTS surprised fans with his return to Instagram after two years.
Jungkook marked his comeback to the social media platform on Tuesday, July 15, with an account under the username "mnijungkook."
In a Weverse live broadcast the same day, Jungkook explained that his username stands for "my name is Jungkook."
Jungkook's new Instagram account has so far garnered 6.7 million followers, as of this writing.
His new account follows all BTS members, along with BTS's official account. Meanwhile, the account is currently followed by fellow members RM, SUGA, J-hope, Jimin, and V.
Jungkook deleted his Instagram account in February 2023, which had more than 50 million followers.

Meanwhile, all members of BTS have completed their mandatory military service. Jungkook was discharged from the military on June 11 with Jimin.
Earlier this month, BTS announced their plans to release a new album in Spring 2026, and that they are also gearing up for a new world tour.
