In less than a week, the global K-pop group's latest single unlocked another huge milestone in the music industry.

The latest hit single of BTS titled “Permission To Dance” has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, making it the K-pop group's 35th music video to reach such success.

In a Soompi report, the official music video of “Permission To Dance'' exceeded 100 million views on the video sharing platform yesterday, July 11, at around 1 p.m. KST.

This record-breaking milestone was unlocked approximately two days and four hours after the song's release on July 9.

“Permission To Dance” now joins BTS's other chart-topping music videos with more than 100 million views such as “Dope," “Fire," “Blood Sweat & Tears," “Boy in Luv," “Save Me," “Not Today," “Spring Day," “DNA," “Danger," “I Need U," “MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)," "IDOL," “Boy With Luv," “Dynamite," “Life Goes On," “Make It Right," and “Butter” among others.

As of this writing, the official music video of “Permission To Dance” has over 113 million views on YouTube.

BTS's latest track was co-written by international singer Ed Sheeran with Johnny McDaid, Jenna Andrews, and Steve Mac, and produced by Stephen Kirk, Jenna Andrews, and Steve Mac.

Legendary singer and songwriter Elton John expressed his love and appreciation for BTS through a shout out via Twitter.

The 74-year-old English musician wrote in a tweet, “When it all seems like it's right, I sing along to @bts_bighit #PermissionToDance.”

In the music video, Kim Namjoon, more popularly known as RM, made a brief reference to the English artist and sang: “When it all seems like it's all wrong, just sing along to Elton John.”

“Permission To Dance” is also one of the tracks included in BTS's CD version of Butter.

Apart from this milestone, BTS also made a recent appearance at the Louis Vuitton Men's Fall-Winter 2021 show in Seoul, South Korea last July 7.

The K-pop superstars were welcomed as one of the house ambassadors of the luxury brand last April.
