It's more than just a special episode—this is how Michael V. described the annual and much-awaited summer episode of the award-winning gag show Bubble Gang.

Starting this week, the "Pambansang Comedy Show" is in full force promoting its two-part summer special airing on April 26 and May 3.

Speaking on 24 Oras, Michael V. explained that the summer episode truly builds camaraderie among the cast and crew of the iconic gag show.

Direk Michael shared, “Yung camaraderie, alam kong medyo overused na 'yun, pero kasi 'yung Bubble Gang, hindi naman siya gang dahil sa mga cast lang. Naging gang ito dahil sa mga staff, sa mga taga-production. So, it's a time for bonding for everyone dito sa show—lahat nagpapakahirap to bring everyone entertainment.”

He continued, “Tapos at the end of the day, nagkakaroon kami ng chance na mag-bonding at magkuwentuhan—makasabay-sabay na kumain, uminom, at mag-happy-happy.”

The cast and crew also prepared for the two-part episode. Buboy Villar, for instance, followed a strict diet and played basketball to keep himself in shape.

Buboy told Chika Minute, “Simple lang ang ginagawa ko sa preparation para dito sa Bubble Gang. I stayed [eating] healthy foods, tapos basketball four times a week.”

Meanwhile, Your Honor host and Ka-Bubble mainstay Chariz Solomon made sure she had everything she needed to protect herself from the intense heat while shooting the summer special, such as sunblock and staying hydrated.

“Paulit-ulit na sunblock, walang humpay. Tapos siyempre kailangan maraming tubig. Actually, sa sobrang init, 'pag umiinom kami ng tubig, parang nage-evaporate na agad,” Chariz noted.
