Cai Cortez

Fortunately, only one of Cai's ovaries is affected by PCOS. Know her story HERE.

First Lady actress Cai Cortez became candid as she discussed about her PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) diagnosis.

On TikTok, Cai opened up about her experience with PCOS in an effort to start a conversation about the topic.

First, Cai removed the filter of the video to show her bare face with pimples.

She opened up, "Grabe ang breakouts ko, as in ang lala.

"Last year, grabe 'yung pagkalagay ng hair ko, as in kalbo [na 'yung gilid], medyo tumutubo na siya because of treatments,” she said.

"I have Polysistic disorder, PCOS."

Acne breakouts, excess body hair, and baldness are some of the symptoms of PCOS, according to Hopkins Medicine.

Cai continued, "'Yung left ovary ko is full of cysts, and 'yung right ovary ko is wala.

Cai gave birth to her son, Bibo, on December 22, 2016. After three years, Cai gave birth to her daughter, Carmen.

And I was suggested by my derma to go to my OB,” shared Cai.

"So sa OB ko na-discover na 'yung mga naiipon palang hindi nagreregla na eggs ko sa left ovary, ay natu-turn into testosterone, which is basically turning me into a man."
