Caprice Cayetano, Nene Tamayo

From first to latest: Nene Tamayo, Caprice Cayetano share a moment as the PBB house closes.

It was formally announced recently that the iconic Pinoy Big Brother house will finally close its doors and move to a new location.

In line with this, many former housemates from various editions and batches have bid farewell to the historic home of the reality competition.

Among them is the program's first-ever Big Winner, Nene Tamayo, who is also widely known as “Kumander Nene.”

In a post on her Instagram account, she shared her final message to the house where she once dreamed—and saw those dreams come true—after being hailed the show's very first winner.

Nene's post featured a heartwarming photo alongside the reigning Big Winner from Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, rising Kapuso actress Caprice Cayetano.

“20 years and 20 seconds embrace... @capcaprice,” Nene wrote in the caption.

Nene also took the opportunity to express her profound gratitude to the program and the people behind its decades of success.

“Maraming salamat, PBB, @pbbabscbntv, @direklauren, Ms. LT, housemates, at sa buong PBB Team, sa lahat ng mga alaala,” she wrote.

She added that the house truly transformed her life, expressing her heartfelt gratitude for everything it gave her.

“You changed my life, and I'm forever grateful,” Nene said.

This was followed by her farewell message to the house, which is now closing after many years and seasons: “Hanggang sa muling pagkikita.”

By using hashtags like “#PBBForever, #PBB, #BnK, #PinoyBigBrother,” Nene reminded her followers of the show's lasting impact on its housemates since it first aired in the Philippines two decades ago.

In 2005, Nene Tamayo made history as the first Big Winner of the reality competition, winning over fellow finalists Jayson Gainza, Cassandra Ponti, and Uma Khouny.

Meanwhile, Caprice Cayetano was named the Kapuso Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0, alongside Lella Ford, who was hailed as the Kapamilya Big Winner.
