Even new mom Pauleen Luna–Sotto agreed to Carla because she was also moved by the actor’s performance.

Gardo had his short appearance in the drama series as his character was killed. His character, Noli, is an epitome of a loving father. He adopted the twins, Crisanta and Criselda, and treated them as his own children. He did everything to suffice their needs especially Criselda has a serious illness. But on the sixth episode of Kambal, Karibal, he was killed by a hold-upper.

On the other hand, Alisto host Arnold Clavio gave his tip. He jested that Gardo’s character should have given his wallet to the hold-upper.

His fellow Kapuso actors Mikee Quintos, Benjamin Alves, Sinon Loresca and Thea Tolentino were emotional after watching the scene.

Netizens raved about Gardo's performance and said that his character should have stayed permanently.

Watch for more intense scenes in Kambal, Karibal, weeknights after Super Ma’am on GMA Telebabad.
