Stolen Life actress Carla Abellana expressed her frustration about a certain transaction charged to her personal credit card.
Although she didn't provide a detailed account of what happened, the amount involved is $11,087.33 or at least PhP620,000 (dollar to peso exchange rate= PhP 56.08).
Carla even posted on her Threads account that it is “heartbreaking.”
In a report by Philippine Star in August 2022, it cited data from the Credit Card Association of the Philippines (CCAP) that fraudulent credit card activities via remote and other digital payment channels jumped by 21 percent, since the start of the pandemic in 2020.
Back in April 2022 Carla also alerted her fans about a circulating Facebook post of a brand she doesn't promote.
The actress said, “Hello, everyone! Please be advised that I do not, never did, and never will use this brand and these products with ads circulating all over social media, particularly on FB.”
“This is false advertisement and the page owner has ignored my personal request to remove the ad. I can now proceed to take legal actions against them.”
