Carlos Agassi knee surgery

Despite the pain, Carlos Agassi is still thankful for his successful knee injury.

Hunk actor Carlos Agassi can't help expressing his thanks for the successful surgery done on his knee yesterday at a hospital in Makati.

In his Instagram post, the actor thanked everyone including his family and friends for the prayers and support he received when he got into the accident.

“Just finished a successful surgery thank you sa prayers and moral support my family and friends grabe ang sakit sa katawan at bulsa,” he said.

Last week, Carlos posted on Instagram asking for prayers and revealing that he had an accident where his knee gave up and started to wobble after making a bad landing while playing basketball.

He mentioned then that the accident left him unable to walk, stand, or even move his leg.

Carlos said in his post that he would start avoiding accidents now and even noted how important it is to save up. He then thanked his good friend and doctor and said that he might not be able to play basketball anymore.

“Mukhang retired na ko, coach team manager na lang ako,” he added while noting that his doctor is someone who he plays basketball with.

He also thanked his non-showbiz girlfriend Sarina Yamamoto, noting that she's his guardian angel and how lucky he is that Sarina took care of him, as well as his mom who took care of him and assisted them while he couldn't move.

Meanwhile, Sarina posted on her most recent vlog the journey of how they prepared for the actor's surgery.

In his vlog, Carlos admitted that while he was afraid of the doctors, he would go through with the operation.

“Excited din ako kasi gusto ko na ulit makalakad, gusto kong madiretso yung tuhod ko. Pero kinakabahan ako,” he said.

He also added that as long as he could walk, even if he couldn't play basketball or do squats anymore, he'd still be fine.

While he may not play basketball anymore, Carlos can still play action roles. Take a look at his Adam Balagtas character from when he appeared in Beautiful Justice:
