Cassy Legaspi: "Medyo manhid na ako at this point..."

Cassy Legaspi shared in the first episode of her vodcast, Cassy's Corner, what she discovered about herself in 2024.

One topic she highlighted was, "Don't try to control things so much," specifically regarding how to deal with bashers as a public figure.

Cassy shared, "A lot of people would ask me, "how do you deal with these bashers? Grabe naman sila, napaka-intense 'yung mga comments nila. Grabe.""

The Sparkle and Kapuso star shared that she started receiving hate comments as a child.

"I've been in front of the camera or I've been in the public eye since I was three years old. I started getting hate comments ever since I was nine years old. Medyo manhid na ako at this point."

Cassy emphasized the lesson she learned from all the criticism she faced. She said, "I guess one thing that it taught me was I can't control what other people think of me and what other people do to me or like how they react to me. But I can control how I can react to it if that makes any sense."

Cassy considered defending herself but eventually decided against it.

"There have been a lot of bashing that I've never experienced like ever before and I wasn't really used to it. I really wanted to go out there. You guys have no idea. I want to go out there, I want to explain myself, I want to like defend myself, my family, all that.

She added, "But for some reason, I was thinking is it worth going through all these hassle just to convince that one person that no I am a good person. What's the point if I already know my truth and I already know that I didn't do anything to hurt a person or anything like that. We just got to do you and control what you can control which is your reaction."

Cassy explained that she decided to prioritize the people she loves.

"I just decided na what matters most to me at least is the people I care about and the people who I love."
