Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko bagged another recognition cementing its place as one of the most-awarded children's TV shows in the country.

The weekly-magical anthology was hailed as the national winner in the Sinebata Awards 2025 for the episode 'Squad Game', which featured Cassy Legaspi, Zonia Mejia, and Kate Valdez.

Attending the awarding ceremony at The Manila Peninsula this Wednesday morning, August 27 was Cassy who played the character Princess in the 'Squad Game' story.

After accepting the award on behalf of the Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko team, Cassy shared what it was like shooting their episode.

“I enjoyed playing the games. As an artista maglaro sa set and all of that, [but] at the same time I was able to gain friends on set kahit we all just met sa set mismo, but we were all learning so many things about the story throughout our shooting days.

“So, I think It was overall the bond and I like that we all had the same direction towards this project.”

Cassy Legaspi went on to explain that kids can learn a lot from their 'Squad Game' episode about the harm of being too competitive.

“I think the times now are very competitive, lalong lalo na po sa industry po namin. And I think the good lesson here is it's okay to be competitive.” Cassy noted. “But not to a point where you are going to shame friends and relationships with your community, because again, this community we are like a complete system, an ecosystem na we all need each other in order to progress. So, this can be taught in any aspect in our lives, so it's really a good lesson especially for kids, kasi it's being portrayed in an entertaining way, but at the same time kids also get to learn.”

It was also announced last week that Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko will be airing new episodes beginning September, which will feature Pinoy Big Brother housemates Will Ashley and AZ Martinez.
