The cast of 'Abot-Kamay na Pangarap" took their roles to the real world and participated in a medical mission. Read about their experience here:
Abot-Kamay Na Pangrap lead Jillian Ward could not help but express happiness as she and the doctors of the APEX Medical Hospital went out of their roles as they took part in a medical mission by the Armed Forces of the Philippines held in a school in Quezon City.
In an interview with Lhar Santiago on Chika Minute on 24 Oras, Jillian shared how happy she felt about their medical mission.
“Ang saya po sa pakiramdam pag nakikita ko po yung mga ngiti po sa amin ng mga kasama po namin nung medical mission, lalo na po nung mga bata na kasabay po namin sumasayaw, tapos tinuruan pa po namin mag coloring, and yung nakapag bigay din po ng gamot,” she said.
Jillian also said that she has realized how she and the cast of the series can inspire others, just by being good at what they do. In the hit inspirational-medical series, Jillian plays the role of Dra. Analyn, a smart young girl who was given an opportunity to study medicine and become a doctor. The afternoon show also stars Carmina Villarroel as Dra. Analyn's mom, Lyneth, Richard Yap as Dr. RJ Tanyag, and Kazel Kinouchi as Dr. Tanyag's daughter, Zoey Tanyag.
Kazel revealed that the medical mission they did was also a great way to prepare the cast for the upcoming week's episodes as they will be doing scenes involving medical missions too.
Working with the cast
Jillian also said that the show's cast members are very understanding and friendly with each other.
“Ako po yung pinaka bata e so andami ko pong natututunan din sa mga kasama ko po dahil lahat po sila, very mature, very openminded, sobrang bait po nila, andami po nilang atuturo sa akin,” she added.
Richard, meanwhile, sees Jillian as the cast's “anak-anakan” and described the young actress as a “very nice young lady.”
“On screen, she's very mature already but she's really a kid at heart, so we all take care of her,” he added.
Jillian also teased that viewers should watch for the upcoming episodes, especially her character's reaction to the reveal that RJ is Analyn's father, and if she and Zoey will become friends or will continue to be at each other's throats.
