The cast of HBO's superhero series 'Watchmen' joined forces for a timely coronavirus PSA.

The huge cast of HBO's superhero drama series 'Watchmen' came together to do a coronavirus public service announcement (PSA).

Cast members Regina King, Tim Blake Nelson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tom Mison, Jean Smart and a few others participated in the short video.

They called themselves the 'Washmen' and encouraged proper hand washing to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

The video was shared by show producer Jeff Jansen on his Twitter account.

Thorough hand washing for at least 20 seconds is still one of the best ways to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

Other pop culture-inspired PSAs against the spread of COVID-19 include Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's reimagining of "the plan" scene from Shaun of the Dead and voice actress Samantha Newark's edit of old Jem cartoon footage.
