Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray continues to expand her legacy beyond the pageant stage, after being honored as a recipient of the Global Filipino Icon Award 2026.

Catriona Gray expressed deep gratitude after being recognized at the Global Filipino Icon Award 2026 in Dubai. The singer-actress-beauty queen shared the news with her followers on Instagram last Sunday, February 1.

The said award honors exceptional individuals and organizations whose excellence has brought international prestige to the Philippines.

In a video captured and shared by a netizen, Catriona delivered a powerful acceptance speech emphasizing that recognitions are more than just trophies, they are platforms for change and influence.

She highlighted how such recognitions serve as vital tools to amplify one's voice and inspire a broader audience toward meaningful action.

“I really want to encourage all of us that; the recognition, the awards, and reaching a certain level in our career, shouldn't stop with us,” Catriona said.

“We should always have it in our minds, how can we pull up someone else, how can we encourage someone, how can we open up more doors, give more opportunities,” she added.

The awarding ceremony held last Saturday, January 31, was hosted by The Global Filipino Magazine, a Dubai-based publication that currently holds the title of the fastest-growing Filipino media outlet in the Middle East.

Through this event, the magazine continues its mission of spotlighting those who proudly represent the nation on the world stage.
