The beauty queen had an underwater photo shoot while clad in an all-white neoprene Puey Quiñones dress.
Catriona showed a teaser of her photoshoot for Mega Magazine's September cover on her social media.
"Against all odds, we rise. This has to be my all time, dream," she said.
Catriona also shared some behind-the-scenes clips from her magazine interview.
She spoke of her initial reaction when she found out her photo shoot will be done with water.
"I've always dreamed of doing an underwater shoot.
"I've [ been such] a water baby ever since I was little girl. It's always been a dream concept of mine."
Looking weightless and graceful underwater is no easy feat even for Catriona, who recalled how challenging the photo shoot was for her.
"I know that it looks very placid and graceful underwater, but there's a lot of work just to stay under there because your body is naturally buoyant.
"It wants to rise up, and then the dress, and then the hair, and then the bubbles," she said.
Catriona also related her cover's concept to the pressure everyone is facing these days.
"I feel a lot of us feel like we're under a lot of pressure. Just like you're underneath the water.
"It can make you anxious and nervous. I think a lot of us experienced different hardships in this season.
"But it's really in that ascencion, and coming up and breaking the surface--that's when we can finally take a big breath of air, that's when we can finally get relief.
