The beauty queens get real about fitness and improving their bodies.

In a video shared by celebrity doctor Vicki Belo, the Miss Universe Philippines titleholders Catriona Gray, Michelle Dee, and Celeste Cortesi discussed their experiences and the reasons behind their decision to undergo the procedure.

Catriona mentioned that her goal was to tone and tighten, which led her to opt for liposuction on the back of her arms.

Vicki said, “Did you hear that? Catriona had liposuction. I never thought she'd admit it! Her arms were kinda like a little bigger than the rest of her body."

Catriona reasoned out, "That's just a little thing that I did and I'm able to carry myself in a certain way because I feel that, and that translates to confidence for me."

Celeste joked that it's “revelation day.”

“So it was during Miss Universe, before I left for the US. She suggested, right, that I should be doing lipo on my arms because that's where I really deposit all my fats. It was always on the back of my arms,” she said.

Vicki revealed that Celeste confided in her, saying she felt unable to compete because she thought her arms were too big.

As a result, two weeks before the pageant, Celeste underwent liposuction and was able to recover in just three days.

“It's the day of confessions,” Michelle quipped.

The Kapuso actress shared that her waistline was approximately 27 inches when she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2023.

“Yes, I did get lipo in my back, specifically around my waist. Just a very small portion,” Michelle said. “The thing is, as you grow, I'm sure a lot of us will realize that we have stubborn areas.”

Michelle explained that before opting for the procedure, she made every effort to lose weight, but it became really stubborn.

She said, "If you compare my winning photo with my Miss Universe competition photos, you'll really notice a big difference in my body."

In a 2024 interview with GMA News Online, Michelle stated that both cosmetic enhancements and the body positivity movement play a role in building confidence.

"It's all about making choices that help you feel good about yourself," she shared.
