Catriona Gray

Catriona Gray's work with this non-government organization is just one of her many advocacies.

It has been four years since she won the Miss Universe crown, but beauty queen Catriona Gray is showing that her advocacies are here to stay, with or without a crown.

In the most recent post on her Instagram account, Catriona posted several photos of beneficiaries of Young Focus PH, a non-government organization that seeks to improve the “mental, physical and social well-being of young people in poor communities by means of education, health care and personal support.” The organization is one that Catriona supports, with donation calls part of her Instagram Highlights. In the caption to the post, she shared that the generosity of donors has allowed the organization to provide food packages to 1,000 families as part of Young Focus PH's Christmas Family Food Package Campaign.

Catriona's participation in Young Focus PH's Christmas Family Food Package Campaign is just one of the many advocacies she is involved in. Back in January, she staged a photoshoot inside the Metropolitan Theater as part of her duties as an ambassador for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and to showcase the venues history as a home for different forms of art.

During the launch of Vogue Philippines in the country, Catriona also championed for sustainability by wearing a dress made with plastic bottles. In the caption to the post, Catriona wrote “What better way to celebrate the launch of @voguephilippines Maiden issue and first ever Vogue Gala than by embodying one of Vogue's values.”

The Miss Universe Organization also recognized her during Pride Month this year, quoting her as saying that Miss Universe helped her “become even more steadfast” in her allyship by enabling her to meet “LGBTQIA+ communities from multiple countries and cultures and hearing their stories.”
