Catriona gave recognition to the act of service done by the people in the healthcare and service sectors as “one of the most impactful and transformational” in this time of the coronavirus pandemic.

The beauty queen wrote, “As I write this from the comfort of my home, I want to take the time to express my gratitude to every other person who doesn't have the opportunity to stay home. Knowing that they are out there, working tirelessly, being away from their families, gusto ko lang sabihin maraming, maraming salamat po sa lahat ng servicemen at servicewomen natin.

“To all the medical staff, doctors, nurses, lab technicians, medical admin staff and health workers. To all the cashiers, supermarket staff, truck drivers and those who work in getting foods and goods to the rest of the population, to the security guards, policemen and women and military personnel - thank you. Thank you for your service in this time of need. #WereInThisTogether”

Love comes in all forms. One of the most impactful and transformational is love through the act of service. As I write this from the comfort of my home, I want to take the time to express my gratitude to every other person who doesnt have the opportunity to stay home. Thank you for your service in this time of need. 💙 #WereInThisTogether

Catriona has also earlier requested prayers for all those who continue to serve for the public's greater good.

So many places in our world are so contrastingly empty now as we all stay in our homes in the interest of public safety. In isolation and uncertain times it's so easy for fear to overwhelm us and feelings of anxiety to creep in. I understand many of us don't have the ability to stay home because of the need to go to work to provide for our families and put food on the table. Many of our workers are still going out everyday to help in supplying food, services and especially, those who are tirelessly on the frontlines in all our medical centers and hospitals. Please join me in including them in your daily prayers, along with praying for wisdom for our leaders and praying for the quick progress of a vaccine and the health for all our nations. Wherever in the world you are take this as a time to draw close...to your loved ones, family and also to God. 🙏 #WereInThisTogether
