You are all invited to a live-streamed Visita Iglesia on the CBCP website!

The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) invites everyone to a live-streamed Visita Iglesia this Holy Week.

As the country is currently battling against the coronavirus disease, the government has ordered to dismiss all public gatherings and placed an enhanced community quarantine in Luzon in an effort to flatten the curve of COVID-19.

Thus, while these implementations are still in effect, the CBCP is offering a tool for all Catholics to connect with their faith-the Visita Iglesia Online.

The 12 featured churches in the Visita Iglesia in 360° are:

The online portal, found in the CBCP News website, also contains four main live-streamed content including: Holy Thursday Live Stream, Good Friday Live Stream, Easter Vigil Live Stream, and Easter Sunday Live Stream.

According to CBCP News, the Visita Iglesia Online has been helping Filipinos abroad keep their faith alive, especially during Holy Week, for nine years already.

Msgr. Pedro Quitorio, the CBCP director, said that “Since 2011, online Visita Iglesia has been serving Filipinos in foreign countries, where going to physical church or parish was difficult or impossible.”

“It also helped Filipino seafarers, the sick and those who, for one reason or another, could not make it to churches during Lent, Holy Week, and Easter,” he added.

On top of that, the CBCP also offers an online platform where the faithful can send their prayer requests.
