Cecilia Ongpauco fondly recalled attending Paris Fashion Week with her daughter, Heart Evangelista, describing it as a surreal experience to see her fully in her element on the global fashion stage.
Heart Evangelista's mother, Cecilia Ongpauco, shared a heartfelt glimpse into what it was like to attend Paris Fashion Week alongside her daughter during the media conference for the new season of Heart World. The event was held on Wednesday, February 11, at The Residences at The Westin Manila Sonata Place in Pasig City.
Speaking warmly about the experience, Cecilia, whom Heart lovingly referred to as "momager" said she felt amazed seeing her daughter thrive in a world she worked tirelessly to earn her place.
She said, "It was so much fun for me because it's the first time I saw her in her element in Paris and I appreciated all the hard work, the passion. She's never-ending in motion."
Cecilia witnessed firsthand the hard work and dedication behind her daughter's glamorous image.
She added, "She wakes up at 3, 4 a.m. and goes all day long. She's fixing her outfits, her accessories; content this and that. She's always creative and it makes me so proud to watch her in action."
Paris Fashion Week became even more meaningful for Cecilia as a mother. She admitted that while the spotlight often highlights Heart's style and influence, being there allowed her to see the resilience, professionalism, and grace her daughter carries behind the scenes.
She said, "I just didn't realize how much she puts into her craft. She just loves it and gives more than her all and that makes me so proud."
Heart then teased her mother for being “hard to please,” drawing laughter from the room. But Cecilia took the joke in stride, admitting that while she may have high standards, she could not help but feel incredibly proud of everything Heart has achieved.
"(Akala natin) pa-cute-cute lang siya, pa-pose-pose—no. It was way different kaya naiyak ako 'cause she was so tired. But she's still going and going and, for me, that was so beautiful."
The new season of Heart World is expected to showcase more of these candid family moments, offering viewers a glimpse not just of fashion but of the personal bonds that continue to ground Heart amid her global success.
