Meanwhile, Cooky recalled a fond memory she shared with the rock legend.
She wrote, “Batang bata pa ako nung una kitang makilala. May happening sa apartment ninyo at andun kami.
Younger OPM artists, Kean Cipriano of Callalily and Myrene Academia of Sandwich and Imago included, also honored Pepe.
Rest in peace Sir Pepe Smith. 🙏🏻

FDCP chairperson and actress Liza Diño-Seguerra also expressed sympathy to the family of the late Pinoy rock legend.
Music photographer and writer Niña Sandejas also shared her good memory with the rock icon.
“Pepe Smith and I spamming photobooths at a mac store with our faces. Glad I emailed this to myself back then. This was always my favorite photo, more than his portraits or performance shots through the years. Stop breaking our hearts universe! [sad emoji] Enough already! Rakenrol in heaven Pepe Smith,” she said.
