Many were caught off guard Wednesday morning, July 27, after a powerful earthquake hit Luzon.

In an advisory by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), a 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit Lagangilang in the province of Abra.

The shaking was even felt as far as Quezon City according to PHIVOLCS.

Super Radyo DzBB then shared on Facebook photos from Abra Rep. Ching Bernos showing several buildings in the province were damaged by the strong earthquake.

Meanwhile, GMA News pillar Arnold Clavio took to Instagram and posted a video to show employees evacuating from the GMA Network compound in Quezon City.

He posted on Instagram, “Naramdaman ninyo rin ba ang lindol mga 'iGan ???

“Naglabasan maging ang empleyado ng @gmanetwork matapos ang naranasan na malakas na pagyanig ng lupa sa Metro Manila.”

OPM singer Janno Gibbs, who is currently shooting in La Union also confirmed on Instagram that they also felt the strong shaking there.
