Miss Universe Philippines 2022 title holder Celeste Cortesi reminded everyone online to be kind to one another after receiving a harsh comment from a netizen.
The beauty queen, who recently inked a contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center, reposted on Instagram Story an insensitive post about her body.
Celeste, who opted not to share the identity of the person, reposted the screenshot of the comment which reads, “Just saw how she doesn't see her beauty. Those ugly tattoos on her skin, maybe one reason 'di siya nakapasok sa Top 50 man lang, now the fillers.”
The Fil-Italian beauty addressed the mean post saying, “Grabe talaga. Because I post my photos in public I am giving you the right to comment?”
She then continued, “Maybe I'm giving you the right to having an opinion. I may not be liked by everyone and that's totally okay. But by posting my photos and being a public figure I am not giving you the right to be mean and to judge what you don't know. What I have been standing for during Miss Universe continues even after my reign and I will never get tired of telling you people to be more kind. Not just to me but to everyone here. Kindness goes a long way. And maybe if we all learn to be more sensitive and kind we can all be HAPPIER.”
After her contract signing with Sparkle last July 20, Celeste told GMANetwork.com that she has been waiting for this moment to become a Kapuso.
She shared, “I'm just so happy and excited because I've been waiting for this moment for a long-time. And you know the GMA family has been so welcoming with me. So, I'm just excited to work with them.”
