Proud na ikinuwento ng batikang aktres na si Chanda Romero sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda ang naging relasyon nila ng namayapang gay comedian-actor na si Bernardo Bernardo.

Sa panayam ni Boy Abunda kay Chanda, tinanong niya ito tungkol sa naging relasyon niya sa isang lalaki at isang openly gay.

Aniya, “Ano ang pagkakaiba ng pagmamahal ng straight man at saka ng isang gay man? You had this love relationship with Bernie, Bernardo Bernardo, who was openly gay.”

Agad naman itong sinagot ni Chanda, “Looking back, that was very special because 'yun ang talagang… I loved him as he was.”

Dagdag pa niya, “It didn't matter to me what his sexual preference was. But I loved him because it was him. I just loved the whole of him. Although we would laugh about it. We could even laugh about that circumstance.”

Ayon pa kay Chanda, totoong nagmahalan sila noon ni Bernardo dahil sa klase ng relasyon na mayroon sila.

“When Bernardo loved me... When we were together, it was one of the few times that I knew it was really love within the both of us because no matter what... It was taboo and, yes, we were just so unafraid and so proud of each other,” anang batikang aktres.

Samantala, kasal naman si Chanda kay Jose Mari Alejandrino, na aniya, “I am lucky to have met a man who took me as I am. He's the kind of man who's not full of himself as macho na parang, 'I don't want to share you not even with your past.'”

Mapapanood si Chanda bilang Presidente ng Pilipinas sa GMA Prime series na Black Rider.
