After MLD Entertainment officially revealed the six members of the newest K-pop girl group including Filipino-Argentine Chanty Videla, GMANetwork.com had the chance to interview Chanty about her new journey.
During the online interview, the 19-year-old young woman shared the meaning of Lapillus, their group name.
According to Chanty, “Lapillus means, it's like a type of gem or like a stone that shines with different colors depending on the direction of light. We want to share a message like to keep dreaming, to have confidence, to find your own color and shine your light into the world.
“We have a pretty unique concept by MLD Entertainment. From what I've seen, the company has been finding new ways to promote our group and to take care of us, which I'm really grateful for,” she added.
Recently, the half-Filipina did a cover of Jodi Benson's "Part of Your World" and many netizens as well as her Filipino fans were stunned by her amazing singing skills.
Today, June 20, 2022, Chanty and her fellow members, Shana, Haeun, Seowon, Yue, and Bessie are debuting as the newest K-pop girl group with their first digital single, "Hit Ya!"
Congratulations Chanty and to your group, Lapillus!
